Since a while, I have been using Craigslist to promote my small business. It has been great to be able to show examples of my work in my ads. This shows that my company is a real one – extra resources!
Craigslist marketing can be monotonous at times. Many ads seem to be a result of small businesses struggling to compete against larger companies. The “little guy” has a lot to do in order to create a Craigslist ad that is worth reading.
.) Create an ad with a title that is simple and shows the Craigslist web browser. Make your title appealing or use unique characters to encourage people to click. Remember that Craigslist advertising is completely free, which is why it’s different from PPC.
.) You can hire a graphic artist to create several pieces for your ads. When you add graphics to your Craigslist post, it will look more professional. This will make it appear much more unique than the many boring craigslist advertisements that are primarily text.
.) Craigslist advertising can be an aggressive procedure. Remember to post every day or every other.
.) Include links to other websites if you’re selling a product. Ads can be accompanied by pictures instead of links. Use illustrations of your work if you are a graphic artist.
.) Make an attractive ad to attract people’s attention if you want their email addresses. You can have them send you an email, and then respond with an automatic response that prompts them to link to your mailing catalogue.
.) Make sure you have your business email address available in case anyone wants to respond to your Craigslist ads. This will help you to better build your brand.
.) You can leave this off your ad if you already have an established sales page. Many internet marketers do. Craigslist users don’t like long ads. Instead, you should link to it. Make sure your ad is attractive and encourages people to contact you.
.) Be sure to place your ad in the correct section of Craigslist. It may also be miscategorized by Craigslist Posting and flagged.
.) Good luck with your marketing efforts!
